College physical education, undertake the task of the most important is to improve students’ health level and improve students’ physical fitness, cultivate lifelong sports consciousness and ability. Able to accurately understand the student each class exercise for identifying whether a PE lesson is an important measure of success. Introduce the energy consumption of teaching is able to objectively reflect the activity of students per class and can make the physical education teachers directly understand each class of each student’s specific situation, both the improvement of students constitution of teacher’s curriculum and improvement will have gone up. So introduce the energy consumption of college students’physical education study is meaningful to the improvement of the students’ fitness.In this paper, with the aid of southwest jiaotong university has just introduced GT3X three-axis accelerometer, USES the literature material law, questionnaire survey method, experimental method, mathematical statistics and other research methods, in southwest jiaotong university freshman table tennis class students were randomly selected as the research object questionnaire and experiment, two classes of one class as that in comparative classes as experimental classes, another experiment cycle for a semester, after the experiment take the standing long jump, vital capacity and step test, grip strength and so on several fitness index were tested and analyzed.Through the literature investigation, after the experiment conclusion as follows:First of all, physical activity energy expenditure is an effective way to improve fitness. Introducing fitness this concept to understand the sports can promote students in physical education, the value, significance, and form the consciousness and habit of lifelong physical exercise.Second, through the survey found that table tennis lesson course pattern is still in the traditional teaching mode is given priority to; Although exercise load can reach secondary load level, but most of the time are occupied by the time to pick up the ball, not conducive to the improvement of technical level, the examination mode relative lag.Third, through test found that experimental class the boy a lesson the average energy consumption values between 160 kcal to 170 kcal; That in comparative classes the boy a lesson the average energy consumption values between 130 kcal to 140 kcal. Experimental class girl a class average value at about 110 kcal of energy expenditure in human, the average energy consumption values that in comparative classes girl a lesson in around 100 kcal.Fourth, through test found in the experiment the first two class students constitution in the same grade point average. In grip strength, step test index, long jump, and lung capacity performance curves of the four projects roughly the same.Fifth, after the test through the experiment discovered that in comparative classes physique grade point average of 1.6 points, the experimental class average increased by 4.0 points, monitoring the experimental class scores improved significantly through the experiment. But in grip strength, long jump two aspects that in comparative classes and experimental classes are not obvious; Two aspects of step test index and vital capacity experimental classes improve obviously than that in comparative classes.Sixth, the energy consumption after through the experiment data, found that lower values of energy consumption that in comparative classes, and students of experimental class, the survey found most of the students identification can be properly increasing exercise load. So I think a table tennis lesson reasonable energy consumption value should be the boy from 180 to 190 kcal; Girls from 130 to 140 kcal.Seventh, table tennis class students’ physical exercise consciousness is weak, the reason of the space equipment is have certain effect on the enthusiasm of the students the classroom. Choose table tennis class is mostly feel table tennis class than other classes is easy, simple, knowledge of table tennis sport is not profound.Through the investigation and the experiment put forward the following suggestions:First of all, the energy consumption can be used as a means to join the school sports teaching work.Second, teachers should serious concern in the usual class every student performance, avoid blindly follow the score in the final grades, hit the enthusiasm of the students.Third, physical education teachers should combine the characteristics of table tennis, targeted to join in the classroom to the upper body strength and lower limb strength training, make the student’s fitness can be improve.Fourth, School on the premise of have the ability in sports equipment, facilities should increase a certain amount of investment, increase the enthusiasm of the students in physical exercise, keep the energy consumption of each week to improve health standards, improve the students’ fitness.Fifth, through the table tennis lessons, for example can provide certain valuable reference for other projects, for a variety of university physical education curriculum can provide certain help better serve students.
