With the development of times,the Higher Vocational Colleges play a significant role in our education career. Social economy development has inevitably shown the demand for the applied High-tech talents who are mostly from the higher vocational colleges. In the procedure of higher vocational colleges’ talents cultivation,the physical education associates the mental work with the physical labor, developing students the sense of competition and cooperation,along with the cultivation of the strong will and body.This paper,through the comparative research on the present situation of physical education in higher vocational colleges between Fujian and Taiwan,which is on the basis of the previous research results on the physical education in higher vocational colleges,associating with personal feelings during the physical teaching in the higher vocational colleges,tries to explore the new thought which contributes to the physical education in Fujian province.This paper applies the method of documentation,expert interview,questionnaire survey, mathematic statistics,and logical analysis carrying out the comparative research into the problems of present situation of physical education in the higher vocational colleges between Fujian and Taiwan. The results show:1 The physical education in the higher vocational colleges of Fujian province is weak in the aspects of physical policy implementation and supervision. The physical discipline is in the edge of the development of higher vocational education,with not enough emphasis by the college leaders.2 The physical education in the higher vocational colleges of Fujian province is more formal. Although the college has the teaching syllabus,it teaches not according to the characteristics of the higher vocational college itself. The single teaching content combining with the boring teaching methods can never meet students’ interest. At this point,the PE method in Taiwan schools is more humanized,conform to the contemporary society need which makes the sport return to society.3 This paper studies belong to private colleges,school time is only about ten years or so, the number of students between 2500 and 5000 people,As the limitation of school nature and scale,the gym and its deserted and old facilities in the higher vocational colleges of Fujian province can neither afford to students’ need for fitness in the spare time nor the demand of school training. While the private Institute of technology in Taiwan area school has more than 40 years,the average number of students in more than 5000 people,sports facilities are complete,in place of management.4 The physical teachers in the higher vocational colleges of Fujian province lack of the sense of belonging. It mainly displays in :the title structure of physical teacher is not reasonable, the research ability is weak with few research productions,the teachers group is young along with high turnover of staff and few opportunities supported for their outside exchange and self-improvement. Taiwan Area Technical College is the opposite,that PE teachers scientific research ability is relatively stable,Fujian province is relatively better, more opportunities for foreign exchange.
