The basketball game is a skill-dominated sports game against each other in the same court, which lasts a long time and requires much for basketball players’abilities and qualities. Basketball players not only have good physical reserves but also are capable of fighting against other players. In order to play well in the sports, athletes are required good body posture and control ability of movement in the matches. Only with core strength can players have body control ability and stability. Core strength is a passing and controlling progress which shows its functional action. Core strength is firstly applied to clinical recovery treatment in medicine and has been developed into competitive sports athletes’strength practice. According to practical experience, excellent core strength enables athletes to pass strength from core parts to upper limb so that it ensures the stability of shooting at the basketball and then improves competitive ability in the playground. Therefore, core strength plays a vital role in basketball strength practice.This research aims to apply core strength to advanced educational women basketball practice, combine core strength training and basketball training, design and set physical training plan that is suitable for basketball players. The objects of this research are 12 skilled women basketball players, they will finish eight-week training practice. There are 3 times special physical training class every week, including core strength training, traditional strength training and special strength training and each class lasts one and a half hours till two hours, during which core strength test covers 35 till 45 minutes. Before the experiment, conduct a test to 12 athletes in special basketball ability and movement function, taking strict control of experiment process and reducing the effect of other factors as least as possible. After eight-week experimental training, take a test to the athletes in special basketball ability and movement function, collect relevant statistics and analyze changes before and after the experiment. After eight-week experimental training, athletes’scores in functional movement, core strength, waist and abdominal strength and basketball skills and abilities have greatly improved before the training. Besides, it has strengthened athletes’ability of fighting against others and core competitive ability.
