Autonomous learning has been a hot issue in the field of education and psychology since 1990 s. Many Chinese scholars also focused on the study about autonomous learning. While for autonomous learning study, scholars often pay attention to two aspects. One is the theory study, which is hard to operate for students, and most of the time, the study results can not be put into practice; another is the study about cultivating autonomous learning ability, which is focused on how to cultivate the autonomous learning ability of students in s subject or in a period such as secondary school or high school. The author, a first-line teacher working in a high school, has access to lots of students and understands that the students’ autonomous learning ability is closely connected to their grades. Especially in senior three, when all the new knowledge has been taught and students need to build knowledge systems, autonomous learning appears to be particular important. This paper, based on cultivating students’ autonomous learning ability, focuses on a group of senior three students who will participate in the college entrance examination to study how to arrange the senior three students to have a better autonomous learning before the exam.To improve the learning efficiency is not only the key to implement the quality education but also a must to class teaching. Autonomous learning in class refers to that the students show their initiative and enthusiasm under the guide of guidance of teachers rather than learning alone, and changes the students’ attitudes to learning from the teachers want me to learn to I want to learn. Realize that I learn it by myself rather than the teachers or someone else teach me and I myself is the regulator of study, which helps to improve class study efficiency.As a educator, we know that in the modern age full of knowledge, it is possible for any education to teach the learners all human knowledge. Education task must turn the students get knowledge into cultivate students’ learning ability. Cultivating students’ learning ability is the essence of learning. Education view in the 21 th century is to make the learners learn to learn, learn to behave, learn to live, learn to cooperate, learn to create. The students we cultivate should learn to live and develop in the society full of information. If a student does not cultivate a thirst for knowledge, a desire for exploration and innovation, does not form a scientific thinking habit and ability, it is hard to compromise in the later life and work. Senior three is a grade which focuses on review the past knowledge and the last stage before a student enter the college or the society. It is essential to guide the students to review independently, which is not only beneficial to the development of the student but also in line with the talents requirement with the social development.This study attempts to analyze the independent review condition of the senior three in Xin Jin high school in Si Chuan province from the perspective of pedagogy and considering the research results in the field of education psychology and management science. Through questionnaire survey assisting with interviews and action research method, reveal the problem existing when the high school students review independently before the exam and put forward corresponding suggestions.This paper is divided into five parts for comprehensive expression. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the questions and the research status at home and aboard. The second part tells a story of the approach to the senior three students’ autonomous review before the exam, including the definition of autonomous learning; review and independent review; three rational aspects of senior three students’ independent review. The third part is the body of the article, which is the research and analysis of the senior three students’ independent review condition, containing a great number of survey data. The questionnaire involves the length of independent review time and the arrangement; subject independent review outline during the independent review period before exam、the use of the student independent review schedule; problems about the teachers’ guidance and the masthead’s regulation during the independent review period. The fourth part is also an important part in the article, which is the suggestions for the senior three students’ independent review situation according to the survey data in the third part. Suggestions includes three aspects: make the independent review plan carefully; scientific guidance for the independent review progress; arrange reasonable independent review time; optimize the independent review environment. The last fourth part is the evaluation on the study style of senior three students’ independent review before the exam. The author followed the graduation situation in this school after the independent review implemented for a year in this part.
