A Study On The Wisdom Of Criticism Education

Teachers’ language should be able to encourage students and be beneficial to their development. However, in current educational practice, the violence of language on students hurt can’t be ignored. Students’ stage is the most basic period in individual life, because student’s view of life, character, and morality are formed in this stage. However, the violence of language brings irreversible damage to the development of all aspects of the students. Teachers’ Language Violence occurs when teachers criticize students. This paper chooses criticism education as a research topic with the purpose to eliminate teachers’ language violence through reasonable strategies.In this paper, Criticism education is a process that teachers use their wisdom to let students realize the fault and harm of their misbehavior so that students can correct their wrong behavior. Language violence is misbehavior that educators use unlawful and unethical language to damage students’ spiritual and psychological worlds. The study shows that Criticism education easily deviates from conventional education to the Language Violence by misusing their power. In the education, Teachers’ Language Violence teachers’ language violence is mainly classified into insult, threat, contrast and conclusion types. In practice, these different types have various harms. Firstly, they affect students’ all psychological aspects, such as the mode of thinking, emotion, volition, motivation and character. The study also finds that there are three mainly reasons contribute to the language violence. Firstly, teachers’ distorted view of student, namely “materialized” or “deification” students. Secondly, the teachers lack of the necessary wisdom of criticism. Finally, the teachers’ runaway emotions under pressure are contributed to the language violence. According to the nature and reasons of Language Violence, we should come up with ideas and strategies to eliminate and reduce language violence. Teachers should set up correct view of students and master the wisdom of criticism. Also, teachers should learn to control their emotions.
