Private higher vocational education is an important part of the higher education in China. With the increase of total private higher vocational graduates, the contradiction between supply and demand became sharp, and many new problems appeared in the process of employment. Private higher vocational colleges must pay attention to improving the level of employment guidance and promoting full employment. Learning and referencing for other private vocational colleges of the successful employment guidance experience, for strengthening and promoting the employment guidance of private vocational colleges has important significance.In the preface, it expounds the research significance, research status in domestic and abroad, as well as the research methods and ideas. Through the analysis of current higher vocational colleges running by the local employment guidance in the existing problems and reasons, this paper is in order to change the current higher vocational colleges running by the local employment guidance work in targeted.In chapter two, it introduces the related concepts and theoretical basis of private vocational college employment guidance, focusing on Holland’s theory of career interests and Myers-Briggs’ s theory of personality. Theory of personality is divided into six basic types, makes a detailed interest inventory and establishes Holland vocational interest test.In chapter three, it comparative analyzes the United States, Canada, and Germany, Korea and other foreign universities employment guidance mode, summarizing their experience: Employment guidance work due to potential changes, advancing with the times;Employment guidance content rich variety;Employment guidance work guaranteed; High degree of employment information.In chapter four, basing on the questionnaires and interviews, it analyzes the status of employment guidance in private vocational schools and the employment guidance’s initiatives of Guangzhou H College. Guangzhou H vocational college educational history is not long, but the achievements of similar private higher vocational colleges in the province are among the best and take it has typical significance.In chapter five, it analyses the problems and reasons of private vocational colleges employment guidance work. Because the private employment guidance in higher vocational colleges starts relatively late, there exists deviations in public awareness of the private higher vocational education, private higher vocational colleges and students’ own reason and leads to the problems: the leadership emphasis needs to be improved; Employment guidance content single; Employment guidance team construction lagging behind, low level of guidance; Related equipment, to keep up with students’ learning enthusiasm is not high; Insufficient innovation entrepreneurship education.In chapter six, basing on the status、the problem and the cause of employment guide in currently Chinese private vocational colleges as well as the successful experience on abroad, it proposes countermeasures and suggestions of the employment guidance in Chinese private vocational colleges. Such as government should increase inputs to support; private high vocational colleges should upgrade skills, improving and strengthening employment guide; graduates should change concept and upgrade integrated quality.
