The Research On Employment Problem Of High Vocational Colleges In Peal River Delta

The college orientation of higher vocational education is "For the direction to employment". It is the fundamental task for the higher vocational college to train highly skilled personnel to meet the demands of society. One of the important indexes of measuring quality of the vocational college is graduates’employment. In recent years, with the expansion of college enrollment, more and more graduates are faced with employment, suffering from greater pressure, and more competitions of employment. The graduates’employment is the hotspot among the graduates themselves, their families and the whole community. Therefore, how to promote the capability and quality of employment becomes the urgent problem to be solved.The scientific approach of solving the graduates’ employment is started from investigating the labor market, comparing between the quality, quantity of graduates and the needs of market. Based on the above research, it should be provided a measure to improve the situation. At present, there is a lot of research about the current situation of graduates’employment, but most of them are focusing on the quantity of employment and haven’t analyzed the deep problems of affecting the employment, such as the major construction, curriculum system, teaching method, government employment system, etc, especially few researches about Pearl River Delta. In this thesis, an investigation will be carried out to the graduates who graduated in year2010of ZhongShan Polytechnic, investigate and analysis the status of graduates’employment of ZhongShan Polytechnic. Firstly, through a questionnaire, the author sort out the data of the rate of employment, professional counterparts, employing area, job-stability, monthly income, and the employment guidance to graduates, the appraisal about the mother school. Based on the above data, the author compares the statistics with those in Guangdong Province. Secondly, the author will draw a conclusion of the situation and features of graduates’ employment, the rational employment concept and higher employment rate, expected monthly income, satisfied with the employers and employees. But at the same time, there are few factors which are bad to the employment. Traced to the original situation, the graduate’individual, the demands of society and the government policies are all affecting the employment. Due to the fact that the author settles down to find the effective ways of improving employment. Combining the actual situation in Pearl River Delta, the author proposes the ways of solving the employment of high vocational college, namely strengthen employment guidance, entrepreneurial guidance, interview skills. The colleges should strengthen the major construction, especially the majors should be connected to the regional industries, and the curriculum system should be connected to professional ability, and teaching method should be connected to the post demand. The government should reinforce the aid to the graduates, drawing regulations of Occupation Admitting System; employment completion is subsumed in the government’s comprehensive assessment system. Base on these modes, there are two beneficial aspects should be mentioned. Firstly it can improve the quality of graduates earnestly, aim to provide the seamless match to post, be satisfied with the social demand, and maintain the college sustainable development. Secondly, in order to help the graduates build up correct employing concept and mentality, display their talent in their career, and realize the value of their lives.With the high-speed development of global economy, the situation of employment has been changing constantly; new problems have been emerging continuously. Aims to fundamentally solve the issue of employment of vocational college graduates, it should be started from the actual situation, such as enhancing research, creating the "Four in One" pattern of graduate individual, college, employers and the government, to jointly promote employment forward greatly, training and providing more high quality skilled experts for the national industrialization, urbanization, and new rural construction.
