The new round fundamental curriculum reform put forward the three-class curriculum system which would pave the way for the development of the middle school English teachers leadership of curriculum. Based on the investigation of subjects of some junior school English teachers in Loudi Municipal, Hunan Province, the paper has studied the actuality of teacher leadership of curriculum and analyzed its restrictive factors, which would brought out realistic approaches to push junior school English teacher leadership of curriculum. The paper is consisted of five parts.In chapter one, the background,methods and significance of the research was introduced, and the paper made a synthetic review about the previous studies.In chapter two, the connotation, features and component of teacher curriculum leadership was mainly analyzed, including its meanings for junior middle school English teaching and learning. Junior middle school English teacher curriculum leadership is the teachers’ abilities of experience accumulation to the teachers and students. In brief, it is the ability of junior middle school English teachers’ in curriculum content. It concludes the following junior middle school English teachers’ abilities of planning, developing and integrating, implementing, evaluating and rethinking. Junior middle school English teachers’ curriculum leadership can be found both inside teachers’ views of curriculum and outside teachers’ teaching activity. It aims at promoting the quality of junior middle school English curriculum, the abilities of junior middle school students and the development of junior middle school English teachers’ profession.In chapter three, the paper carried out the investigational research on the development actuality of junior middle school teacher leadership of curriculum through questionnaire and visiting. Following aspects can be found though investigation. Since the new curriculum reform, the curriculum leadership of junior middle schools of Hunan province is at level of intermediate, which is worth improving.In chapter four, it is aimed at analyze the factors which restricting the development of junior English teacher curriculum leadership. It lies in two aspects including internal factors and external factors. The former is related to teacher curriculum knowledge and experience. The latter is involved in support from the outside except themselves. A better performance is the result of two aspects that works harmoniously.In chapter five, the countermeasure of junior middle school English teacher leadership of curriculum was lodged from the results of the investigation. Improving the leadership of junior middle school English teachers curriculum, junior middle schools should provide better conditions for the abilities of junior middle school English teacher curriculum leadership. Junior middle school English teachers ought to change ideas, improving abilities during the process of junior middle school English teacher curriculum leadership.
