Study On The Status Quo And Development Countermeasures Of Foreign Student Education In Anhui Province

With the trend of internationalization of higher education sweeping the world, the foreign student education in China is also flourishing and becomes an important part of Chinese higher education. Researches in this field emerge in the meantime and have made the rich achievement. However, the regional researches based on Anhui province are very limited. By the way of collecting data, investigation and referring to documentation, this paper makes a comprehensive description of the status of foreign student education in Anhui province, analyses its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, challenges and problems, and puts forward some countermeasures accordingly.This paper consists of six chapters. Chapter one is an introduction, which explains the significance and purpose of the study, reviews the researches on international students education at home and abroad and introduces the study design, the study approach and the sources of information of this paper. Chapter two presents the background and status quo of the foreign student education in China through statistical data, documentations and policy papers. Chapter three is the statistics of foreign students’ sources, majors, levels and distribution in Anhui Province. Chapter four analyses the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of foreign student education in Anhui province applying the SWOT analysis method, which laid the foundation for the strategies of speeding up development.Chapter five is the analysis of problems and its causes of foreign student education in Anhui province by date comparison with other provinces. Chapter six puts forward some suggestions and strategies on how to develop the foreign student education with its own features in Anhui province.
