In recent years, the economic development of China had promoted the country’s demands for all kinds of talents. At present when material life becomes more and more abundant and economy is developing rapidly, knowledge is one of the core standards for talent measuring, so receiving university education becomes many students’ dreams.Today, according to the educational system of our country, the college entrance examination is the main way method for us to select talent, and high scores are passes to college.Under the fierce competition, problems about the pressure of senior students in high school became more prominent and caused the wide attention of the society. At present in the mainland, the way used by high school to deal with the psychological pressure and emotional problems of senior students in high school is quite out of style, mainly including teacher’s counselling, mental health courses, goup activities of the class and so on. However, all of these methods cannot effectively solve the massive adverse symptoms of the senior students in high school caused by problems of psychological pressure. As the issues constantly emerging, many schools added psychological consulting room, but the psychological consultants just wait passively for students to come instead of taking measures to explore potential client. Afraid of being labeled as "having psychological problems", students will eventually give up consultation, which will cause the fact that psychological counseling resources and demands do not match and lead to the waste of resources and the inefficiency of work. Summarise the above four kinds of circumstances, the intervention of social work has its necessity and possibility. Social work use professional knowledge and skills to serve students, which raised the scientific nature and the personalized qualities of service. Meanwhile, by an omni-directional and three-dimensional way of service, it searches the roots and solutions of students’ problems from many aspects, such as students, schools, families, communities, etc, which remedies the defects of other kinds of measures.Through the sample investigation on the state of senior students’ psychological pressure in Lu’an, Lu’an middle school, this investigation report tries to understand the status of these students’ psychological pressure, the pressure sources and bad symptoms caused by pressure. Based on a detailed analysis of the psychological stress of senior students in high school, it combines with professional social work theory and methods to seek breakthrough point for social work intervention. In view of the current state that social work in mainland China is at the initial stage, and people know little about social work, under such a social background, study on the the paths and methods of social work entering into schools cannot be ignored. Intervention methods can be divided into two categories, that is, "bottom-up" and "top-down". "Bottom-up" mainly refers to social workers or social work organization communicate with school and expect to establish relations of cooperation, while "top-down" means government encourages social work institutions to intervene school work. According to the management model of most public schools (schools that contain the nature of public management)in mainland China, the author thinks that the intervention method of "top-down" is relatively feasible in the current social situation. As new members of the school system, social workers must set up an independent department which is directly affiliated to the principal’ leadership, to avoid administration and marginalization. After the involvement in school work, social workers will use professional knowledge and skills to find new solutions to the problem of senior three students’ psychological pressure.
