Materials(Textbook) is the basis of material teachers and students to carry out teaching activities, is the most important media in the process of classroom teaching. The new era of curriculum reform(refers to the basic education curriculum reform since second), physical education textbook role is more and more obvious, study on the PE Textbook of various also increased, but the lack of research on physical education textbook adaptability of PE teachers and students, so it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive and systematic study.Research methods are: questionnaire, literature, mathematical statistics method. The main tool is the "Leshan City Middle School PE Teachers use a textbook case of the questionnaire" and "Leshan City junior high students to sports textbook questionnaire."This research mainly includes two aspects: first, study on Adaptability of junior high school PE teachers in Leshan City Central on physical education textbook. Second, study on the adaptability of PE Textbook of junior middle school students in Leshan city district.The main conclusions and suggestions:1. The class version of \ "sports and health\" the writing of the textbook has a lot of innovation, embody the idea of new curriculum reform.2. The different levels of teachers in different adaptability, suggests teachers experience different use of textbooks focus.3. The students of grade, gender different adapt textbook is also different, mainly with the cognitive characteristics of students, learning behavior, hobbies and so on.4. Textbook cover away from the actual student life, word length, content, design, etc., are good teachers and students can’t adapt to the textbook.The second round of curriculum reform has brought many challenges to PE teachers, the application problem not only has the curriculum standard of understanding the problem, teaching methods, textbook, textbook, understanding and knowledge to adapt to the textbook issue. To solve these problems, not only to strengthen the propaganda, dispel misunderstanding of sports teachers in thought, but also continue to strengthen the study, improve the ability to adapt to the textbook. At the same time, also continue to strengthen research on textbooks, to design the content according to the middle school students’ cognition, interest, ability, make the content of the textbook of life, and continuously meet the needs of student’s personality. For this, put forward the following Suggestions:1. Strengthen the training of teachers, a profound understanding of the value of textbooks2. To strengthen the school-based teaching and research, improving teachers’ adaptability to textbooks.3. Master the methods of curriculum development, and improve the ability of teachers take the initiative to adapt to the textbook.4. Strengthen the study of textbook writing content and form, to improve middle school students’ ability to adapt to the textbook.
