It has been a common practice for the secondary vocational school stop lace more importance on the development of students’ professional skills than on their comprehensive qualities, which has led to an un sustainable development for both the employers and graduated employees. The second-classroom activities play an irreplaceable role on the expansion of students’ professional knowledge on their qualification and competence in the future career. Meanwhile, the second-classroom contributes to the prosperity of campus culture, “administration, service and culture education”. Apart from all that, the second-classroom promotes students’ adaptabilities from both will power and emotion, as well as the enhancement of their development in intelligence and capabilities. That’s why the second-classroom activities are as important as the first-classroom.This thesis, aiming at this phenomenon, analyses the relationship between the first-classroom and the second-classroom, laying greater stress on the setup of second-classroom system sin the curriculum system. The merit system management for the second-classroom activities, along with its feasible assessment mechanism, should be constructed as that in the first-classroom so as to graduate comprehensively qualified students meeting the requirement of employers and society.There are totally 5 chapters in this paper: the first chapter raises the question, background, meaning and methodologies of this paper; the second chapter analyzes the principles, models, trends of the current research; the third chapter makes the research on the present situation in the second-classroom activities in Guang’an Institute of Machinery; the fourth chapter analyzes the current problems in the institute; the last chapter lays the plan in the management foundation, strategies, systems and guarantee mechanism for Guang’an Institute of Machinery.
