Since 2001, China has begun to carry out the elementary education reform. During more than ten years reform, each course has been improved. The course of ideological and ethical education has been improved to satisfy the students’ needs. Meanwhile, it helps students to improve their qualities and abilities and to make great efforts to train the builders of socialism. As the main course of moral education, the course helps students build their correct philosophy, world view and the sense of worth, meanwhile, it helps students build the good moral concept and improve their qualities. After reforming, the aim of the course of ideological and ethical education is to dig and arouse students’ own study ability, let students take part in the teaching and to be made the owner of the class. The arousing of the course is the important problem for teachers to explore how to make students to be confident, pleasant and be positive to study. The thesis explores the arousing strategies of this teaching by looking up information, carrying out discussion and interview and studying cases, its main contents as follows:First, it states the background, study importance, review, study methods and theory innovations and studies the meaning, characteristic and importance of the arousing of ideological and ethical education course.Besides, it studies the theory basis of the arousing of ideological and ethical education course. The C.P.Alderfer’s ERC theory, the Frederick Herzberg’s theory, the E.A.Locke’s theory, the J.S.Adams’ s theory, and the Burrhus Frederic Skinne’s theory have provided theory foundations to teaching arousing strategy of course of ideological and ethical education.Last, it states the principles and main methods of the arousing of ideological and ethical education course and studies the effective use of the arousing of ideological and ethical education course.
