With the deepening of the new round of curriculum reform, it is required to pay more attention to the students’ main role in the classroom teaching, and take " To assess teaching by studying ", which is a new concept of classroom teaching evaluation of the basic education curriculum reform. The essence of “To assess teaching by studying" is to evaluate the quality of classroom teaching, whether students learn independently, whether students can learn, whether students master what they learned. The new round of national basic education curriculum reform emphasizes the students’ subjectivity, and promotes independent learning, inquiry learning, and cooperative learning. And the present classroom teaching mainly uses the way of duck-feeding. How can we change this situation? This paper puts forward to the idea of "To assess teaching by studying" and think we should create a relaxed, equal and harmonious classroom atmosphere in the ideological and moral lessons of junior high school and let students learn easily and happily; stimulate students’ interest in learning, develop learning power; believe that students can learn and provide students with independent learning; strengthen the guidance of students learning methods to make students learn to learn; organize students’ cooperative learning; guide students to explore the organic combination of meaningful learning and make the content of classroom teaching change from developing the teaching program according to the contents of the teaching material to develop the teaching program according to the students’ learning situation, from implementing teaching program according to the contents of the teaching material to implement teaching program according to the students’ learning situation, from evaluating the teaching results according to the score of the exam to evaluate the teaching results according to students’ learning process, knowledge and skills.
