The concept of psychological capital first appeared in economics, investment and sociology, etc. In the literature. Take Luthans’s point of view, this study psychological capital is defined as:individual general enthusiasm at the core of psychological factors, embodied in accord with standard of positive organizational behavior psychological state, it is beyond the human capital and social capital, and can be targeted investment and development and make the individual to gain a competitive advantage. Mainly includes the confidence or self-efficacy, hope, optimism and resilience four aspects.The article gives a definition of student development for college students during the period of school education in terms of the sum of the harvest, not only refers to the study result, also include all kinds of ability to improve, and the harvest as the measured value of the students to develop education.So what is the psychological capital? College students’ psychological capital status quo? What are the factors influencing psychological capital? Psychological capital can promote the development of students, what is the relationship between them? This paper tries to answer these questions.This paper USES questionnaire investigation, take a random sampling method to select six universities in Nanjing 623 reading different professional grade students (including undergraduate, master’s and PhD, six universities contain different hierarchical levels, including "985" "211" and the "985" "211" type of undergraduate course colleges and universities and 2 kinds of undergraduate course colleges and universities), the status of the investigation and research on college students’ psychological capital and its influence factors, and the influence of psychological capital on students’development.According to the survey of this study, the research on the relation between psychological capital and student development conclusion is as follows:1. The college students’ psychological capital levels overall for the middle and upper, the optimistic dimension scored the highest, toughness dimension scored lowest.2. The influence factors of psychological capital has harvest, professional education, political affiliation, whether as a student cadre and grade-point averages.3. The influence factors of education to reap psychological capital, family economic conditions, political landscape, whether as a student cadre, whether the school community, grade-point averages, and won the field above the honor.4. Education harvest and psychological capital influence each other, and mutual influence degree is higher than other factors.Based on the discovery of this article, Suggestions;1. The development of psychological capital can start up from four dimensions, namely, pay attention to the development of self-efficacy, establish a positive mental attitude of hope and optimism, toughness.2. Universities should focus on promoting the concept of psychological capital in the college students’ group, let the students know about this.3.
