With the transformation of education ideas, the individualized education has got wide attention. Paying attention to the students’ individual differences, adopting the education model suits for characteristics of individualized learning of students and choosing the proper teaching strategies and methods to educate have been the tendency to education research. Besides, improving the education model, promoting the quality of classroom teaching and advancing the learning efficiency of students has been the key of individualized education.In order to solve the problems above, this paper puts forward an individualized education model based on learning style. According to the learning style of Honey & Mumford, it mainly divides the students into four types which are actors, mediators, theorists and users to select the teaching strategies and methods which are suitable for learning characteristics of the students. Also, it has teaching design to realize the practice and research of individualized teaching based on different learning styles to establish individualized classroom.This paper studies through action research method, experimental comparison method and questionnaire survey method. It applies the individualized teaching model based on learning styles to the information technology curriculum to have practical analysis and improve the classroom teaching model of information technology. Firstly, it analyzes and investigates the different learning styles of students and learning characteristics of a variety of learners; secondly, in the guidance of theory of learning style, it fully combines the characteristics of information technology curriculum of junior middle school to establish the process of personalized teaching model; lastly, applying this teaching model to practical teaching, it acquires the results of data analysis with practice through questionnaire survey method. The study shows that implementing the individualized teaching based on learning style in information technology curriculum is a great help to students when studying information technology curriculum. Besides, it could completely attract the learning interest of students and improve the quality of classroom teaching and learning efficiency of students.
