Research On The Technical Education Development In Shaanxi Province

The vocational education in Shaanxi province is developing rapidly since entering the new century and has achieved remarkable achievements in spite of being one of the less developed western provinces. The party and the state attach great importance to the development of vocational education. Shaanxi province, being the new starting point of the silk road economic belt, with the "One Belt And One Road" initiative, has implemented the development strategy of rejuvenation through science and education. In the new era of economic development, to accelerate the transformation of economic development patterns,to speed up the upgrading of industrial structure, and to promote technological innovation and commercialization of research findings, tens of thousands skilled talents are in great need.Technical education is the most historical, characteristic, and dynamic part in vocational education. The promotion of the technical education development is significant in accelerating the economic and social development of Shaanxi province. Being a key talent pool, technical education requires a healthy and sustainable development in order to popularize the all-round education, boost regional economic development, quicken the transfer of rural labor force and guarantee the full employment in Shaanxi province.Starting with the introduction of present situation of the technical education development in Shaanxi province, based on the author’s ten-year working experience in first-line management over more than two hundreds mechanic schools, based on statistical yearbook and department work reports and a large number of objective data, this paper makes every effort to summarize a panorama of the current technical education development in Shaanxi province by means of comparative analysis, interview, questionnaire investigation,case study and other scientific methods. Contents including six aspects of the current development status of technical education, ten questions concerning the internal and external development, and ten countermeasures to guide the future common development of provincial technical education and improve school development with the government support are elaborated in this paper from four dimensional angles, namely economy, concept, system and policy.
