A Study Of The Connectedness Of The Extra-curricular Exercises Between Junior And Senior High School Chinese Language Textbooks(people’s Education Press Edition)

As junior and senior high school periods are the most important for the growth of students, what they have acquired during junior high school period should help to lay the sound foundation for the study during the senior high school. Therefore, it is necessary to have a rational connectedness between these two periods. Extra-curricular exercises,as a componential part of textbooks, are of great help for teachers and students, when they are scientifically compiled and used effectively. With the advancement of the subject reform, there are more and more researches conducted at extra-curricular exercises, but seldom did researchers pay their attention to the connectedness between them. The present study focuses on the connectedness between the extra-curricular exercises(People’s Education Press Edition),starting with the general survey of extra-curricular exercises, then concretely analyzing them from the aspects of the definition, content, and patterns of the connectedness, and finally coming up with relevant suggestions for improvement from connectedness perspective.The thesis contains five parts. The first part is an introduction in which the reason why the extra-curricular exercises(People’s Education Press Edition) are chosen for study, the significance and methodology of the research are presented. The second part makes a survey of the role, function, compiling principle and subject standard of the extra-curricular exercises.The third part is an analysis of the extra-curricular exercises from the basic concept, pattern, and content of the connectedness, and summarizes the status quo and features of two textbooks. The fourth part put forward suggestions for improvement based on the present research. The fifth part is conclusion.
