Nowadays,all of the Chinese textbooks in the stage of compulsory education are the complied versions.How to make good use of complied Chinese textbooks is an important topic that every Chinese teacher must concern.Although they are all human-educated editions,the junior middle school Chinese textbooks that have been compiled have undergone great changes,including the goal of educating students,the way of educating student,and the selection of texts,the combination of units,the goal of each unit as well as the choice of after-class exercise.The purpose of the current research is to study the after-class exercises on the same classical Chinese language works on before and after compiling versions.The comparative analysis has been conducted in terms of the number,type,and learning aims of the different exercises.Furthermore,the same classical Chinese language works that exist the great difference were also selected to explore.The results have shown that the compiled versions of Chinese textbooks are rigorously arranged,with clear levels and strong flexibility in the after-class exercise on the Chinese classical works.Besides,the content of the exercise on the complied version emphasizes the foundation of classical Chinese and concerns the discussion of the techniques on classical Chinese,and also enrich the after-class reading tasks.The concept of "foster character and civic virtue" and the core values of socialism are also infiltrated in the after-class exercises.The research findings inspired that teachers should analyze the different levels of after-class exercises when using this part,to guide students from different aspects,such as reading,recitation,extra-curricular reading,and so on.In addition,teachers should pay attention to the changes in exercises between the before and after editing versions.Teachers could not only moderately increase or decrease the practice questions,but also integrate the relevant after-class exercises to make full use of the after-class exercise of the classical Chinese works.
