Selection is the core of Chinese teaching materials, its advantages and disadvantages affects the quality of Chinese teaching materials. And Classical Chinese is the carrier of traditional culture and the crystallization of national wisdom, also, it`s occupyed an important position in Chinese teaching materials. Therefore, this thesis use the classical Chinese in 7-9 grade Chinese teaching materials which published by People’s Education Press and Jiangsu Education Publishing House as the main research object, and useing the literature analyzing-method, comparison-analyzing and case-analyzing method, trying to make an analysis of the classical Chinese selection system and auxiliary system, in order to explore the similarities and differences, advantages and disadvantages between the selection system and auxiliary system of two sets of textbooks, thus split it into two, and learn from each other.This thesis is consists of five parts:Chapter 1 is introduction. Mainly introducing research background, research significance, combing and analyzing the research and document in classical Chinese articals, and established the basis of the research, at the same time, making the definition of the core concepts---- classical Chinese artical and Chinese teaching material.Chapter 2 points out the foundation and teaching values of classical Chinese. Firstly, according to the “curriculum standard” spirit, making analysis and discussion to the presentation of the teaching objectives, preparation of proposals and other aspects of classical Chinese; then make a overview to the compiling concept of two teaching material combined with the difference of two edition textbooks editorial boards; in the end, point out the value and significance of the classical Chinese: educational value and edify function, cultural value and cognitive function, artistic value and development function; promote and inherit traditional culture and nation spirit; improve literary accomplishment and advance ideological and moral education of middle school students; understand the relationships between modern Chinese and classical Chinese.Chapter 3 making a comprehensive comparison of the People Education Press’ s classical Chinese selection system and Jiangsu Education Press’ s. This chapter make a comprehensive study from five parts: the statistics and analysis of Chinese’s number and proportion of the classical Chinese; same classical Chinese texts; the genre of the classical Chinese texts; classical Chinese text’s dynasties and combination mode of classical Chinese texts, then have the following conclusions: in the People Education Press edition, the number and proportion of the classical Chinese presents irregular distributions, the Jiangsu Education Press edition presents an increasing trend, and more scientific and reasonable; the location of same classical Chinese present as a random way, and has no regular pattern to follow; the majority theme of classical Chinese is Miscellany, also the number have a more reasonable distribution; the major dynasties of the classical Chinese are Tang and Song, and have a balance distribution.; the combination of classical Chinese are mixing of modern-classical and separate writing, also it`s more reasonable..Chapter 4 making a comprehensive comparison of auxiliary system which the selection system based on. This chapter made a comparative study from the guidance system and practice system, and choose the common writings <Tongqu> made a comprehensive comparison, analyze the advantage and disadvantages of two teaching material’s classical Chinese from four aspects which are from the selections: tips before class, notes in the class, the exercise numbers of selection and exercise types. By contrast I found that the Jiangsu Education Press edition is lack of tips before class and guidance; the notes of the People Education Press edition is horizontal arrangement so that looked confused; the Jiangsu Education Press edition is longitudinal arrangement so seemed more clear; the numbers of exercises are non-uniform distribution and single type.Chapter 5 is the reflection and suggestion. This chapter based on a comparative analysis of the above chapter, make a further reflection of the problems which existed in the selection system and auxiliary system, affirmed the rationality which in its genres, times, combination of units, then aimed at the defects of two editions: a wide difference between numbers and proportions of classical Chinese texts; the same text in the textbook position is in disorder; lack of guidance and tips before class; an uneven distribution and single type of exercise numbers. Therefore, make a suggestions for improvement: fully combining with the teaching practice, select the appropriate amount of classical Chinese texts; follow the laws of cognition, the arrangement of selection should pay attention to the logic of “preface”; set scientific and reasonable tips before class; equilibrium the numbers of exercise, broaden the types of problems.
