Literature review, research methodology, experimental methodology and quantitative analysis have been adopted in this thesis so as to investigate into the impact of different physical fitness exercises on the anxiety level of girl students. The experimental subjects of this thesis are one hundred and fifteen girls from senior two and senior three in Shanghai High School. The independent variable is the different physical exercises in physical education and the dependent variable is the state and trait anxiety level of the subjects. The comparison in and between the experimental group and comparative group has been made in order to study the impact of different exercises on the anxiety level of high school girls. In addition, this study intends to explore the effective physical exercise which has the positive influence on the anxiety level of youngsters. Furthermore, this study aims to offer some solutions to solve mental problems of young students and provide the basis to promote the development of physical and mental health of youngsters in Shanghai.The results of the study:1. In strength group, the state anxiety level decreased significantly, and has a very significant difference (P<0.01); trait anxiety levels decline, but also has a very significant difference (P<0.01).2. In endurance group, the state anxiety level decreased significantly, with a very significant difference (P<0.01); trait anxiety levels decreased, with significant differences (P<0.05).3. In the combination of strength and endurance group, the state anxiety level has dropped, but there was no significant difference (P>0.05); trait anxiety levels decline, there is no significant difference (P>0.05).4. Between strength group and control group on the state and trait anxiety levels, there was a significant difference (P<0.05); there was no significant difference between the endurance group and the control group (P>0.05).Research conclusions:1. Strength exercises is effective reduce the level of state anxiety and trait anxiety of high school girls, the results confirmed Tsutsumi, Kathleen, Ma Rong, who views.2. Endurance exercise can effectively reduce the level of state anxiety and trait anxiety of high school girls, the findings also are consistent with the views Qiu Zhuojun et al.3. The combination of strength and endurance exercises to reduce the level of state anxiety and trait anxiety effect of high school girls were not significant.4. Different physical exercise in physical education, strength exercises compared to endurance training, strength and endurance exercises in combination,can better alleviate the state anxiety and trait anxiety level of high school girls.
