With the development of Quality Education, people have more demands on school education. The educational function of school physical environment becomes more obvious. As the precondition and basis of all kinds of work, school physical environment has its own special educational function. The teachers and students are influenced unconsciously. The paper studies on the construction of physical environment in middle school in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. It is based on the construction of physical environment in minority areas. It involves different methods, such as literature research, field research, interview, comparative method and so on. Current situations of the construction of physical environment in middle school in minority areas are investigated and analyzed from different points of view. The author tries to connect the investigation with the spatiality and culture in minority areas and put forward a set of methods on physical environment construction which not only has the specialty but also suits the teachers and students well. In addition to the introduction, the paper includes four chapters. The followings are the brief introductions of them.Chapter one is mainly about the theoretical analysis of physical environment in middle school. In connection with middle school, the paper gives the definition of physical environment in middle school and the educational function of it. The Chapter also gives a brief introduction to the relationship between physical environment and spiritual environment and an analysis of the status and role of physical environment in the cultural construction. Chapter two is about the significance, principle and content of the construction of physical environment in middle school in minority areas. The chapter analyzes the definition of the construction of physical environment, the actual significance, the principle and main content from the perspective of minority areas. Chapter three is about the current situation of the physical environment construction in middle school in minority areas. It is based on the investigation in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. It analyzes the current situation of physical environment construction and put forward the problems, and then analyzes the causes of the problems from different perspectives. Chapter four is related to the Tactics in the improvement of the physical environment construction in middle school. According to the current situation of the construction in minority areas, the development direction and construction idea is put forward. The author also points out the feasible proposal on the physical environment construction in minority areas.
