Children’s toys are small, but closely linked with the education of children. Along with Chinese and western cultural exchange is frequent, and the development of the society itself, children’s toys and children’s education in the Republic of China there has been tremendous progress, Not only changed be despised and ignored the plight of the once upon a time, but also laid a solid foundation for the development of the related theory and object after. Study of children’s toys and children’s education during the period of the republic of China has great academic and practical significance. This paper based on a lot of raw materials, for an initial investigation on children’s toys and children’s education during the period of the republic of China.The introduction part mainly introduces why choose this topic and the significance of this topic, combing and analyzing the current research status of academia, and summarized the main content of this article and the train of thought, pointing out that the innovation and deficiency of this article.The first chapter introduces the theories of children’s toys education during the Republic of China, taking Chen Heqin, Chen Jiyun and WangGuoyuan as three representatives. Chen Heqin’s theory focuses on exploring the definition of toys and the methods that toys how to play an educational role.Chen Jiyun’s theory more deeply discusses the educational significance of children’s toys, the relationship between children’s age and toys’ education, the standards and principles of toys’ choosing. Wang Guoyuan mainly explores three questions: the education value of toys, the relationship between children’s age and the choice of toys, the relationship between children’s nature and toys. The theory of the three men have inheritance, there are both connection and difference. In period of the Republic of China, toys for children education theory appeared qualitative leap, laid the foundation for the development of relating theory at the time and after.The second chapter mainly introduces the types of children’s toys in children’s education during the period of the republic of China. Type of children’s toys during the period of the republic of China is very rich. According to the education function of toys, toys can be divided into three categories: children’s toys to practice sense, children’s toys to enhance intelligence, children’s toys to self-restraint feeling. Under each category contains many small classes.The third chapter mainly analyzes the characteristics of toys in children’s education during the period of the republic of China. Children’s toys characteristics during the period of Republic of China is distinct, Including five aspects: children’s toys are massive, quality and presenting the trend of industrialization, children’s toys use children’s nature as the standard, Children’s toys are rich in education function, children’s toys are simple and cheap needing improvement, Children’s toys have certain nationality.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the status and function of children’s toys in the education for children during the Republic of China. During the period of the republic of China, children’s toys have important status and have played a positive role in the children’s education. This is mainly embodied in three aspects: children’s toys become the indispensable education supplies in children’s education, children’s toys promoted the change in the way children’s education, and children’s toys promoted the development of children’s education theory.
