| Along with the rural vocational education development unceasing, the relevant research achievements increases unceasingly too. But the research status of rural vocational education is not very clear at present, thus looking back and summarizing the development situation of a certain periods in this field is necessary. This will not only promote the accumulation of research results in this field, while also being able to find research problems. It is helpful for the researchers to reflect and summarize the past research and to provide some basis for future research, reducing repetitive study. This paper uses the method of bibliometrics to count quantitatively and analyze the rural vocational education literatures from 2005 to 2014 of our country. The paper also sums up the development of rural vocational education and also its existing problems. It predicts trends of the research, and puts forward some proposals.This research uses “China Academic Journals Full-text Database†as the retrieved library, taking “rural vocational education†as the theme. The research searches near ten years of papers in <Educational Research>, <Education & Vocation>, < Chinese Vocational and Technical Education>, <Vocational & Technical Education Forum> and <Higher Agricultural Education> to obtain the research samples. Then it is obtained by the statistical and analytical of text limits, research themes, authors and citation, using the method of literature and statistical analysis, content analysis, comparative analysis.The study has found that in recent years the research on rural vocational education has achieved certain results, but there are still some problems:(1) there is low number of research on rural vocational education.(2) many research institutions lack of stable team and interinstitutional cooperation is not enough.(3) most of the research institutions are universities and secondary schools focus little on vocational education research.(4) rural vocational education studies shows distinct regional characteristics and research results in the Middle East is higher than the West.(5) research papers are not standard, and there is low number of citations. The language types is not plentiful.(6) State fundings are provided imbalanced. More of grant projects distributed in the Middle East. |
