"Junior middle school mathematics new curriculum standard" advocates students practicing the new learning concepts, such as hands-on practice, self-exploration, cooperating and communciating the knowledge and so on. Cooperative learning as one of the three learning models is widely used in mathematics class in junior high school.Through the investigation of Changchun City in the mathematics class of middle school and communication with mathematics teachers, it finds that there are several problems about cooperative learning models in the mathematics classroom teaching practice.For example, the application of cooperative learning methods mostly are too single and formal Meanwhile some teachers consider the cooperative learning into classroom decoration which didn’t achieve the effective cooperation mode.Exploring the reasons for the problem, the main that the middle school teachers’attitude towards effective cooperative learning is not comprehensive, in-depth and lack of enough theoretical basis. In the application of cooperative learning class, the students can discuss in groups, think about questions and fully reflect the dominant position of themselves. The teachers should play as the role of leaders, directors and organizers. By the teachers’guidance, the students could adapt to the effective teaching models which are the course preview before class, cooperation during the class and strengthen after class.How to effectively organize the students to put the learning methods into use and promote transformation of their learning style in the middle school mathematics class?Nowadays the problem has been the important topic about teaching theory of mathematics education research and practice at home and abroad. Meanwhile it is one of the important factors that influence the national new curriculum reform and whether it can be effectively implemented.As the new curriculum standards reform constantly goes deeper, the cultivation of students’autonomous learning, creative thinking, awareness of cooperation is the key to the implementation of the curriculum reform. It is very extremely necessary to explore the mode of cooperation learning about mathematics in middle school at present.The paper does research on the Cooperative Learning relevant theories at home and aboard. In addition, it summarizes some problems about practicing cooperative learning of junior middle school mathematics teaching which exist in our country nowadays and puts forward reasonable solutions through interviewing teachers and studenta, investigating the the application of cooperative learning in mathematics classroom in Changchun. All these provide guidance for effective application of cooperation learning in mathematics class of senior middle school from now on. Meanwhile they not only provide theoretical basis on correctly knowing about the cooperation learning model for the front-line teachers of senior middle school.but also provide a broad perspective for teachers who would further deepen the research on the theory of cooperative learning.
