The factors that reflect how geographical issues are changing and developing, and the reason for how to teach them, are called geographical factors. The research discusses how to choose, analyze, and use geographical factors.Part I: Literature review. By reviewing the literature about teaching geography and choosing geographical factors, we conclude the focus of geographical education and the principles to choose geographical factors. And hence we find that the point of view of choosing geographical factors is still an understudied field, and we talk about the significance to study it;Part II design two questions about the variation of water level during the tide, and record the research among the master students in NENU geography education major 2013, in order to find whether the process features of geographic factors should be focused, and what should be the methods, level and active degree of geographical data. The research also discusses the geographic knowledge, attitude of optional contents and the resource of knowledge of that community, providing data for other aspects of this paper;Part III discusses the geographical materials in everyday life and media, and establishes the system to understand geographical procedure, based on the six basic principles of geography. Hence we conclude the main point of view to choose geographical factors;Part IV discusses the methods to use traditional and modern media to present geographical materials, with the traditional, involved with blackboard work and language, to be direct, and the modern media to be with choosing, attaching and formatting the video, static and dynamic pictures. And we demonstrated the matters needing notices through an experiment.Part V discusses the operation in different dimensions of geographical factors.In the part on educating the basic knowledge, taking geographical terminology and concepts as examples, we talk about the general method to combine rational and sensational education of geographical factors, and discuss the method using geographical factors to reflect knowledge during the educating processes;In the part on educating the geographic methodology, we mainly discuss the strategies to operate geographical factors on geographical observations, researches, experiments, analyses and the combination of these;In the part on culturing geographical academic ability, based on the development of volcano, we set up exercises to test the abilities to imagine, describe, predict, analyze and express the geographic knowledge, and we explore in aspects such as demonstrating situation, designing questions, leading of thinking and explaining answers;At last, we discuss the active effects of geographical processes in respects of emotion, attitude and value education by case studies.
