Based on the present documents and information,the study stands on the shoulder of what domestic and foreign related researches have achieved.It manages to unveil the current situation of general high school teachers' school-based curriculum development ability.Through the research,it further explores the limiting factors that hinder the improvement of such an ability,and makes efforts to raise the strategy for improving school-based curriculum development ability for target teachers.Thus it would promote teachers' professional development and provide an example for them to follow.The survey of the thesis mainly bases on questionnaires and partly on interviews.Through the questionnaires,we find out the authentic situation of high school teachers' school-based curriculum development ability,including their understanding of school-based curriculum development ability,its importance,and their concrete evaluation of their own development ability.Through interviews,we deeply learn general high school school-based curriculum development situation and how much the curriculum meets the need of students' learning and their personal development.According to the survey,it shows the following conclusions.First,despite the achievement in the practice of developing school-based curriculum,some common problems are still waiting to be solved.The problems include that utilitarianism seems a little obvious and curriculum conduct needs to be further reinforced;the gap between curriculum objectives and program and students' actual need and school reality still e Xists;teachers' development ability and mutual cooperation should be strengthened,and teachers need to reinforce their reflection and evaluation.Second,the limiting factors that limit the development of teachers' school-based curriculum could be divided into two types.The first type has something to do with teachers themselves,including their self-development awareness,curriculum knowledge and ability,mutual cooperation awareness,teaching age,education level,title and so on.The other one involves organization support from both school and outside school.Based on the survey,this study raises 5 pieces of advice on how to improve high school teachers' school-based curriculum development ability.To start with,clarify curriculum objectives,integrate curriculum resources and improve conduct and research ability;second,reinforce teachers' self-development awareness,provide them with guidance of differentlevels and focus on their professional need;third,broaden the means for teachers' cooperation and set up “Internet Plus” teacher learning community;fourth,strengthen the effectiveness and usefulness of curriculum training and guidance;fifth,refine the management rules and set up diverse encouragement and evaluation mechanism.
