Geography investigation has outstanding application value,is conducive to the cultivation of students’ core literacy in geography,and is an important way of learning the geography curriculum.At present,academics at home and abroad attach great importance to geography investigation,but there is little research on the influencing factors of geography investigation ability of high school students,and the research on geography investigation cultivation strategies is also relatively single,lacking the construction of relevant curriculum systems.Therefore,it is significant to conduct a deep analysis of the influencing factors of geography investigation ability of high school students and construct a cultivation curriculum system on this basis.This study uses literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method and statistical analysis method to launch the research of the geography investigation ability of high school students and its influencing factors.Firstly,the possible influencing factors of geography investigation ability were summarised through literature analysis method and then design questionnaires to collect the required data.Secondly,the data were analysed and processed,mainly by using SPSS and HLM for correlation analysis,regression analysis and the development of multilayer linear models to explore the influencing factors of the geography investigation ability of high school students in Nanchang.Finally,on the basis of the research findings,a curriculum framework based on the development of geography investigation ability was constructed.Through data analysis and constructing models,the following results were obtained: students’ geography academic achievement,geography practice,higherorder thinking and spatial thinking were all significantly and positively related to their geography investigation ability;teachers’ teaching years,teaching innovation,emotion and teaching skills were all significantly and positively related to students’ geography investigation ability;teaching years played a positive moderating role in the relationship between students’ geography academic achievement and geography investigation ability.Teaching innovation also played a positive moderating role in the relationship between students’ higher-order thinking and geography investigation ability.Based on the findings of the study,the author has constructed a curriculum framework for the development of geography investigation skills to provide reference for geography teachers to do a good job in developing students’ geography investigation skills.The in-depth research and analysis of the influencing factors of geography investigation ability and the construction of a curriculum framework based on the cultivation of geographical investigation ability expand and enrich the theoretical system of geography investigation research,and also provide directions and ideas for geography teachers to carry out geography investigation activities,which help to better cultivate students’ geography investigation ability and enhance students’ core literacy in geography.
