As the first and most important interpersonal relation of human being, the parent-child relationship is defined as the relationship between parents and their children. Family education is the important supplement of the education in school, and parent-child relationship is the premise and foundation of Parent-Child education, which is also the major manifestation mode of family education. In fact, the parent-child education is influence by the each family members, which is not specific refer to the one-sided education from parents. Only with the good parent-child relationship, the parenting may effectively implement. Meanwhile, the improvement of parent-child relationship needs the cooperation between parents and children, not just from on-sided willing.Base on the researches of the relationships between ordinary high school students and their parents, the obtained statistical data were analyzed and investigated. Meanwhile, the parent-child relationship discrepancy of students and parents with the different sexual, grade and educational degree were investigated through the aspect of the communication time、attitude、means and effects. The results attempted to supply some useful educational suggestions for the improvement of parent-child relationship and evidence to the related researches.In the method of questionnaire survey, 398 freshman to senior students from three ordinary high school(in Kun District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia) and one of their parents were selected as the object of research. With the selfdesigned parent-child relationship questionnaire, the data compilation and analysis were obtained and analyzed with spps19.0.The research results indicate:1. The parent-child relationships of ordinary high school in Baotou are above the average, and the relationships with students are better than that with parents2. For the parents with different grade, the parent-child relationship doesn’t shows obvious discrepancy, the highest performance is the freshman’s parents, and the lowest one is the senior’s parents.3. For the students with different grade, the parent-child relationship doesn’t shows obvious discrepancy, the highest performance is the freshman, and the lowest one is the junior. In additional, the senior students show the least communication time and the best attitude.4. For the parents with different sexual, the parent-child relationship level of mother is higher than father, there are not significant differences.5. For the students with different sexual, the parent-child relationship level of female is higher than male, and there are significant differences. The communication time 、 attitude 、 means and effects of female student are obviously better than that of male students.6. For the parents with different educational level, the parent-child relationship level of parents of college degree or above are the highest, while, the Junior high school or below ones are the lowest, there are significant differences. In additional, the parents of Junior high school or below level present the least communication time, and the parents of high school level present the worst communication effects with their children.7. The Pearson coefficient of the parent-child relationship questionnaire is 0.971, which is very close to 1 and indicated that the two scale are highly relevant.Base on the investigation, the educational suggestions are proposed from three aspects of education to children, guidance to parents and corporate tutoring to family members.The conclusion is below:1. The parent-child relationship of ordinary high school in Baotou is above the average.2. The parent-child relationship level of freshman’s family is the highest.3. The relationship between mother and child is better than that with father, and the relationship of female students with their parents are better than that with male student.4. The level of the educational degree of parents and the parent-child relationship present the positive correlation, and there is significant difference.5. The family-school collaboration can effectively improve the parentchild relationship, and it can develop with the guidance to parents、education to children and the corporate tutoring to family members.
