Textbook that is the most basic vector of teaching content and the material base to achieve teaching objectives plays an important role in teaching activities.With the deepening and development of the basic education curriculum reform, the construction of textbooks for primary and secondary school have got more and more attention. When the society fix their sights on the main part of the textbook---- "Student textbook", they ignore the teaching textbook that is matched for the student part. What is the the current situation of using teaching textbooks?How do teachers view and use of the teaching textbooks, especially for the vast rural areas with poor teaching resources. What kind of teaching textbook they need etc. These issues are all important which is worth considering and exploring for the basic education.In order to learn about the use of teaching textbook and pay attention to the western rural education, this thesis tries to starts with the primary Chinese language, taking the teachers in rural area of Guangxi as the object of observation and investigation, and analyze the result and present situation,hoping to provide the reference and enlightenment to the rural Chinese teacher education.This study is divided into three major parts. The first part is an introduction which includes four parts----origin of the problem, research history, research value, research ideas and methods from a macro point of view to understand ideas and venation of this thesis. This paper mainly adopts the literature analysis method, questionnaire survey method,interview method, as well as content analysis method.The second part is the main part of this paper, namely the use survey of the primary Chinese language teaching textbook in Guangxi rural areas. The survey covers three aspects of the questionnaire, case study and text analysis. In order to know the usage of teachers’ textbook in Guangxi area, the questionnaire survey was carried out in rural areas of 320 primary school teachers in Guangxi selecting some representative cases to analyze and interview the teachers in rural areas.Finally, the author chose the most representative Chinese textbook----People for Education to analyze and find the potential problems. Based on the above findings,the author finds two problems of teachers’ textbook used by the village. The first is the lack of edition, including the unclear of using guide, inaccurate of position,philosophy concept of writing errors. At the same time, a single structure, a little thin of content, the lack of teaching design and teachers being not well enough to take care of books written on the content of the rural teachers are also becoming a barrier. The second is the large difference between urban and rural areas of the users, the shortage of teachers’ quality and students’ thinking replaced by teaching reference books and the acquiescence of utilitarian thinking.Based on the above research, the third part gives some suggestions of developing and using the primary Chinese teachers’ textbook from two aspects.As a developer, he should pay attention to the demand of primary school teachers in rural areas, increase the development theory and trend of the new education and enhance students’ learning guidance, advancing with the times and constantly update. As a user, he should establish the correct concept of usage of teachers’ teaching book, strengthen teacher training, study the education information and arrange the basic skill training of Chinese scientifically.
