Vocational education currently is the focus of education reform and development in our country. Whether it’s object or the content, the vocational education compared with the general education has its own unique characteristics.Knowledge and education has the natural relation. With advent of knowledge economy, knowledge is more and more important, the research focus on vocational education is gradually transforming from the technology to knowledge.The concept “tacit knowledge” is proposed by English philosopher Polanyi.Along with to tacit knowledge research thorough, the tacit knowledge application has the important status in the vocational education. Understanding the nature and the related rule of the tacit knowledge has the more important instruction function to the technical study of the vocational education.Tacit knowledge has its unique value to the technical study of the vocational education. On the cognitive level, it expands the perspective of our knowledge and deepens the understanding of technical knowledge. On the operational level, tacit knowledge plays an important role in technology innovation and improvement of students’ vocational skills. Compared with the explicit knowledge, tacit knowledge is abstract, but it is still displayed in the form of skills, know-how and experience,which is also the main content of vocational college students acquire tacit knowledge.This research adopts the combining method of theoretical and empirical analysis. By using these methods, such as literature review, interview and practice experience summarization, this research fully analyses influence factors of tacit knowledge acquisition in the technical study, for example, community of practice,acquisition situation and nature of tacit knowledge itself. Community of practice factor includes not only the teachers’ cognition of tacit knowledge, tacit knowledge stock and the ability to teach, but also the students’ experience and ability to accept.Based on the above analysis of tacit knowledge, this study puts forward to somesecurity conditions to promote the acquisition of tacit knowledge, such as setting up the integration of vocational education curriculum, building practice oriented curriculum model, adopting the apprenticeship, attaching great importance to the training center construction, strengthening the cooperation between institutions and enterprise and so on.
