"English curriculum standard of compulsory education(2011 Edition)" promulgated and implemented, means that China’s compulsory education English curriculum reform entered a new stage of development. English courses not only helps students to broaden one’s horizon to understand the world, is the formation of the students the correct outlook on life, values has important significance. As everyone knows, the textbook is the important material carrier of the curriculum, textbook is the core value orientation. However, the current English textbooks in the implementation of English classroom teaching, with its play advantage characteristics at the same time, the existing problems are also increasingly surfaced. As in material selection value orientation tend to cities, but not suitable for rural students’ physical and mental development and rural school teaching etc.. Therefore, the author chooses the present our country junior high school stage, the most widely used English textbooks as the object of study, the text analysis of the value orientation. Specifically, this paper mainly has four parts:In the first part, introduction. The definition of this paper mainly introduces the research background, research purpose, research significance, research ideas and research methods as well as the core concept.The second part is literature review of domestic and foreign research on the textbook and the analysis framework. First of all the related research at home and abroad are combing the textbook. Secondly, on the basis of previous research results confirmed that the analysis of this research project; according to the research and analysis to determine the obligation category of English characteristics, and eventually formed the analysis framework.The third part, the analysis of the junior middle school English textbook version of the value orientation. According to this thesis analysis framework of teaching objectives, on Junior English textbook topic, dialogue and reading articles, illustrations, figures the value orientation of text analysis: the value orientation in textbook mainly contains have "international vision, national consciousness, love life, willing to exchange, life and health, environmental protection, participation consciousness" etc..The fourth part, the conclusion and suggestions for teaching. First of all, combined with the analysis of the third part version of text teaching junior high school English textbooks of value orientation, that the textbook has the following four basic characteristics: inheriting the tradition, bearing the approval; connects the world, facing the future; stems from the life, return to society; face gender difference, dares to pursue the equality. Secondly, it is pointed out that this set of textbooks in the following three aspects are still perfecting space: an international perspective is not "international"; conditions is not considered a "comprehensive"; the theme content not "natural";The value of building is not enough "equilibrium". Finally, according to the characteristics of the value orientation of the textbook and the existence question, proposes three teaching suggestions: to advocate the teachers to enhance the consciousness of value delivery; to play their own advantages to deepen the value of the textbook, the transfer function; the integration of various teaching resources, optimizing the teaching of discourse.
