Education is a fundamental task for the coming generation. Most important parts of education are done by teachers. The development of teachers’ professional ability achieves the development of teaching quality. The scope of the recruitment of students is expanded by the Ministry of Education since 2009, which is for the fresh graduates mainly, to meet the needs of high-level talents of country and society. The number of applicants for full-time Master of Education which is train as great teachers, increase every year as demand improves. There are lots of problems can be researched such as the teacher professional development status of full-time Master of Education in Chemistry, the adaptation of new teachers, and the development of the training of the Master of Education.This research studies full-time Master of Education in Chemistry from 2010 to 2014 of Central China Normal University to get information by document analysis, questionnaire survey method and the case analysis, finally get the conclusion and suggestion. There are 5 parts in this research:The first part which is the introduction mainly includes the background of the study, overseas and domestic research status, the research contents and the research methods, and the research significance.The second part is the theoretical basis of this research, which is the relative theory of teacher professional development. This part is the theoretical framework of the research.The third part is the investigation and analysis of teacher professional development status of full-time Master of Education in Chemistry by two questionnaires. And the conclusion comes out finally.The forth part is case analysis which chooses several representative samples to know the development status deeply.The fifth part is strategy and suggestions, make some strategies for the training of the Master of Education and teacher professional development.The sixth part points out the shortcomings and further research direction.This research is to know the development status of full-time Master of Education in Chemistry, and find out the problems of it. Finally make some strategies to improve the education and the teacher professional development of Master of Education in Chemistry.
