Froml996,master of education degree in our country for nearly 20 years. The quality of postgraduate education’s cultivation has always been our focus. Through the study of Master’s thesis, not only can understand the quality of graduate education and grasp the direction of the research subject for a certain period, but also research papers inadequate.This study takes 415 pieces of the theses (2004-2013) of Education Masters as the research sample which is from 10 normal universities. The main method which the study used is the content analysis method. This study divides the thesis into 6 categories: research theme, keywords, data collection methods, statistic software and references in order to find the characteristics. Regarding categories mentioned, we can make following conclusions:The main study is the teaching, the students pay more attentionto teaching methods, however, the study of teaching evaluation and teaching environment is less. For the study of the course, the main focus is curriculum implementation and curriculum content. The distribution range of keywords is wide, and the distribution of high frequency keywords is relatively concentrated;Research method is variety and growing, and the graduate students can apply the method to collect basic information during writing their papers, but presentation and attention of methods is not insufficient. Excel program and Statistical Product and Service Solutions are commonly used, however, types of statistical software relatively single. In terms of references, the number of references basically in line with national regulations, but there are also some papers that cannot meet the requirements; Compared with Chinese literature, the number of foreign literature is insufficient, and the foreign language references in English language.Finally, This study puts forward some hopes and suggestions based on the conclusion above:We should clear the importance of the data collection methods in academic paper writing. At the same time they should broaden their horizons and expand the scope of literature reading material. Schools should try to pay attention to guide them in many ways and adjust the curriculum to meet the social demand for talent, strengthen education of academic paper writing; Teachers should focus on a full range of paper writing guidance.
