It is occasional that human beings make their appearances to this world and each person only has one chance, but how many people know how to treat life? According to media reports, the cases of youth suicide is much serious, especially in primary schools and junior middle schools. It’s said that the youths in primary schools and junior middle schools have the highest suicide rates of all other stages. In China, the concept of life education has been proposed for many years, although the life education in some areas and schools has been well developed, and even achieved encouraging results. However, life education has not seen as the ultimate goal of education, but also has not received its deserved attention.In this paper is based on the detailed review of life education in China.including the existing path of the life education in junior middle schools, such as academic penetration and school education, which are the main channels to promote life education; the existing content of the life education in junior middle schools, which contains the ideological curriculum and moral lessons related to life education;the effectiveness of the existing junior middle school life education. On this base, this paper is to analyze the reasons of poor life education outcomes in junior middle school. The first reason is the imperfect design of life education, including the blurry education goal of life education, the unrealistic content and ways of life education, and the lack of education evaluation mechanisms; the second one is that the teachers don’t play key roles in life education, including the insufficient attention of existing education and the teachers’humanistic qualities needing to be improved; the third is the far-reaching impacts of exam-oriented education; the fourth is that the administrative departments don’t pay enough attention to life education; the fifth is the vulnerabilities of multidimensional structure of life education. By the analysis of the imperfect life education outcomes, we contribute to the enhancement of the effectiveness of life education in our junior middle school. So we take five measures to solve this problem. First, improved life education should be designed, including the formulated specific educational goals and the life education methods emphasized life experience, and the favorable life education curriculum evaluation; second, the teachers play a key role in life education, so the existing teacher education model should be reformed and the humanistic qualities of teachers should also be improved; third, the establishment of the idea of people-oriented in life education is necessary and the oriented education, namely, a tool of education, which lays a solid foundation for life education is surely weakened; fourth, the administrative departments of life education is responsible to attach great importance on it; fifth, the multidimensional structure of education should be bettered, at the sane time the power of social and family education cannot be ignored and can form joint efforts efforts to increase the quality of life education in junior middle schools.
