The Application Of Country Data In History

This paper, with classroom teaching of history in senior high schools in Wuhan as the object of research, investigates the use and development of local resources in the teaching of history. Based on PEP history textbooks, it concludes and analyzes resources of Wuhan local history involved in textbooks and summarizes their usefulness and emphasis. Meanwhile, it analyzes the difficulties and problems existing in current history classroom teaching in Wuhan and puts forward related views and suggestions as a reference to promote local resources to enter into classroom teaching of history in high school and a benefit for teachers and students.The paper is divided into three parts:In the first part, it summarizes the specific knowledge of Wuhan local resources in textbooks which is the starting point of the study. Simultaneously, according to the curriculum requirements and contents of the textbooks, it collects available local history resources as many as possible in Wuhan and classifies them according to the textbook chapters.In the second part, based on the investigation of how local resources are used in classroom teaching of history, it analyzes the reason why they fail to be fully promoted in Wuhan. Likewise, the author makes some points about questions like how to adopt local resources as supplementary materials and express historical emotions of the teachers.In the third part, through the study of a series of questions reflected in investigations, it discusses teaching attitudes, the quality of teachers, reform efforts of schools as well as the country and so on, aiming at guiding local resources to enter into the history classroom effectively.
