A new geography curriculum reform unceasingly thorough, the time for geography teachers’ professional quality and the cultivation of student’s geography comprehensive ability put forward new requirements. Starting point is based on viewing the geography classroom activity, the survey data from the classroom. The aim of the research is to analysis the application present situation and existing problems of geography teaching strategy for the geography teachers in the geography class, by the first hand data by viewing classes. And put forward the corresponding countermeasures for the first line of geography teachers, which contribute to the better application of geography strategy in order to build effective geography class.In this paper, the method of observation, investigation, comprehensive analysis has been used. By two dimensions to present: firstly, the analysis of the result of student questionnaire survey; Secondly, the analysis of records by viewing class and the classroom observation records video. The angle of view is from two aspects, including teachers and students. All the students of class(A) and class(B) of grade two in high school are regarded as the object of investigation. From introduction to conclusion; follow the analysis line of coming up with basic questions firstly, collecting information and arranging information, solving the problem lastly.It is that focus on observation and teaching process of teaching strategies of teacher a regional geography classroom. The data sources include the presentation of questionnaire results, the four viewing form of teacher teaching character in lessons including:(1)The degree of participation of the students in class;(2)To show the teaching behavior;(3)The application of teaching strategy of teacher A;(4)The validity of three-dimensional teaching objection.There are five regional geography teaching strategies of teacher A, including: map and words exchange, accumulating from the daily life, combination of native soil, combination of history and political knowledge, combination of interlinking to college entrance examination.The application of the formation of the five main characteristics by teacher A in the regional geography teaching strategies as follows: 1. The teacher’s teaching way is method of lecture mainly, use the case to assistant teaching; 2. The teacher has a traditional teaching style, innovative teaching strategies applied less; 3. The application of teaching strategies to overview is given priority to, teaching effectiveness is affected; 4. Teacher A is completely in a dominant position, hard to embody the principle status of students; 5. Teachers’ teaching strategies in the implementation of pay attention to the knowledge and skills, ignoring the process and the method and the emotion manner values.Then, provide some suggestions for improving teaching strategy on regional geography classroom for teacher A from two angle of view. Take a conclusion. Take the summary statement on the obtained results for the research in this paper.
