Both figurativeness and abstractness from the physical images were contained in this paper. The analysis of physical images fit with the scientific theory that includes the dual coding theory, brain science theory, schema theory and visual thinking theory and so on. We proposed that the application of the physical images in the light of its special function should be based on different teaching objective in the physics teaching in order to promote the teaching effect.First, the paper is a scientific and comprehensive literature review on physical images and teaching of physical images of our predecessors. It defines the concepts of physical images. The physical images is right brain of human in real life physical phenomena, physical processes or physical problem situations perceived imagic results and the left hemisphere abstracted from the physical model,then the physical state of the object model is formed under the guidance of the physical laws, physical processes mental picture, In general, the usual way schematic image of the function image(graph), knowledge of block diagrams, drawings and other schema into the picture of the dynamic structure of the system. We made a questionnaire survey to understand the current situation of high school students’ current level of the physical images which is due to the smooth using of physical images that assist teaching aim to achieve good physical teaching.Furthermore, we need to know that whether students have the knowledge basing on teaching ability of physical images or not. The analysis of questionnaire is conducting from different dimensions of basic physical models accumulation, images of the students’ reading ability, analysis ability and physical problem representation etc. We put forward six points about necessary teaching basics in teaching that should be applied in physical images. We carried out the practical exploration on the teaching application of physical images in concept teaching, regularity teaching, experiment teaching, modeling teaching, exercise teaching and reviewing teaching in a certain theoretical foundation and basis of teaching under the guidance. We also design corresponding teaching processes. In addition, we analysis the application of images.Theory and practice has proved the introduction of physical images in the teaching suit one’s measures to local conditions can obtain better teaching effect, and can be able to promote the students’ level in excellent physical images, so as to improve the level of students’ physical synthesis. Smoothly applying physical images in our teaching is based on the accumulation of knowledge and the cultivation of ability in daily teaching. The final purpose of teaching is that teachers’ teaching application of the physical images should become the students independently possessing the applied consciousness and ability of the physical images.
