According to the sixth national census data stadium announcement, as of the end of 2013, a total of stadium 1,694,600, compared to the fifth census sports(end of 2003), only a decade, the national stadium to increase the number to 844,500 months, nearly doubled.National sports stadium in the management of education systems to have 660,500, accounting for 39.89 percent, of which the number of colleges and universities sports 49700, is an important part of sports.However, college sports venues to complete their daily teaching, training and extra-curricular activities, many of which are idle, underutilized, which is China’s current stage stadium fewer resources per capita in stark contrast to the status quo, this situation requires urgent College Stadiums further opening-up, enhance openness and utilization of stadiums stadiums resources to achieve social sharing of resources, so as to effectively alleviate the supply and demand.Currently, some domestic colleges and universities already have or are in the new comprehensive and integrated multi-functional indoor gymnasium.These venues are often large-scale, full-featured, well-equipped, but on the other hand, high maintenance costs, capital investment, overall utilization rate was lower, partly responsible for the waste of resources.How scientific, rational and effective operational management in universities and colleges gymnasium, making the best use, is placed in front of us a pressing problem.This paper uses literature review, questionnaires, field trips law and expert interviews and other research methods, the basic situation of general gymnasium Universities in Wuhan, open Status and Management conducted a detailed investigation, analysis and research, through our investigation found that factors stadium opening the following main points: the stadium’s own conditions, including site facilities are not complete, poor health and environment; arrange unreasonable hours of operation; opening up certain security risks; insufficient outreach; venues and facilities depreciation update fast, high maintenance costs and maintenance; management behind the lack of professional facility management personnel; venues imperfect regulatory system.Universities in Wuhan by general gymnasium opening status quo and influencing factors analysis, propose further measures to achieve the opening: It is recommended to increase capital investment, on the old Stadium renovation, expansion, improve stadium infrastructure; introduction or actively cultivate professional sports venue management personnel, the establishment of facility management center, take the road of enterprise management, make the stadium better than early scientific, standardized, to ensure the safe and orderly operation; select the appropriate form of opening and open projects to develop reasonable pricing and opening hours, opening up publicity efforts and so on.
