In order to meet the needs of society for talents, the New Curriculum puts that everyone can get a good mathematics education while different people get different development in mathematics. This sentence is worthy of careful thinking by every math teacher. It shows that mathematics is an important tool for transforming the objective world, and then to refine the point that no matter what kind of work the students will pursue in the future, no matter what kind of scientific research will they do, they need to apply mathematics. If they know about Euler, Newton and other mathematicians, it is to find that these mathematicians make great contribution to physics and astronomy. Throughout the development of mathematics, it is closely associated with the development of physics, chemistry, astronomy, biology and other disciplines. The development of these disciplines requires the application of mathematical tools to solve this problem. Meanwhile, the progress of mathematics accelerates their development. In addition, mathematics not only exists in real life, but it is also applied in many disciplines. Therefore, the cultivation of interdisciplinary application ability of math is an important trend in current social research and practice. In our teaching process of mathematics in the middle school, we should infiltrate the problems between mathematics and other disciplines according to the students’ understanding of laws, be bold to break the traditional disciplinary restrictions, change the students’ learning concepts and pay particular attention to strengthening the link between mathematics and physics, chemistry, biology, geography and other disciplines. Besides, we can induce relative discipline and try to guide the students to use mathematical knowledge, math method of thinking and mathematical models to solve mathematics. So that in the learning process, students can consciously apply mathematical knowledge, methods and models to solve problems in other disciplines so as to form new learning concepts and learning methods and improve the level of awareness and knowledge of applied mathematics. At the same time, this sort of study may also enable students to appreciate that each discipline is not isolated, while they are linked and can be applied to each other. This way of teaching will not only help students to cultivate the awareness of applying academic knowledge but it is also beneficial to improve the overall quality of students. This paper collects and incorporates the relative examples of physics and chemistry involved in junior high school mathematics textbooks and makes a preliminary study of the importance and feasibility of interdisciplinary awareness and applied ability for the junior middle school students. Meanwhile, it also sums up the ways of cultivating the awareness and ability of interdisciplinary application for the students, hoping to provide a little inspiration for other mathematics teachers in future teaching.
