Main Questions are the questions which can replace lots of questions and connect core content of teaching together in Chinese language class. This paper aims at combining the main question and reading guidance. The Main question is not just as a well-designed classroom questioning, but an activity guiding students to learn. Guiding students to read with learning method of autonomy, cooperation and exploration is a method that teachers serve for the students in reading learning.This paper consists of five parts. The first part is the exposition of core concept which analyzes the two concepts of the main question and reading learning guidance and the relationship between them. The second part is the basis of designing main questions including course ideas, editor’s intentions and feature of text. The third part is the learning actuality of designing main questions which is considered from reading learning rule, method, process, capacity and obstacles of junior students. The fourth part is the strategy of designing main questions which discusses the actual operation of the main question. The fifth part is the evaluation of designing main questions which investigates the rationality and effectiveness of main issue designing.The theoretical significance of main question designing of reading learning guiding is that it provides new view of research for main question designing in reading teaching research, and it discusses the reasonable starting point and foothold of main question designing to improve the related theory of main question. Its practical significance lies in the implementation of the curriculum standard idea and provides practical action operating model and guidance for teachers to design the main question. Meanwhile it cultivates the students’ participation and consciousness of problem and offers effective guidance for the students initiative in the role of the learner.
