The college entrance exam will not only act as a fair and reasonable method to select talents, meanwhile it will also help to promote the introspection and perfection of teaching process. Education is what stands behind the college entrance exam, and the exam also reflects the educational ideal and value pursuit of educators. The first round of curriculum revolution in China was launched in the year of 1999, which is more than ten years away. And during the period of new curriculum, the college entrance exam design has transformed from knowledge-oriented mode to ability-oriented mode, which means the exam concerns more about students’ level of various aspects rather than knowledge aspect alone in old times; and that shift can help to grasp future development potency and education direction of the students. Therefore, we need to do detailed and wholescale research on the changes of college entrance exam design since the launch of new curriculum and realize the discipline which exam design follows, and that will means a lot for the development and perfection of new curriculum education in the subject of chemistry.After analyzing the research status of the college entrance exams in China and abroad, some problems that can be improved shows up. The related problems are as following:there is tendency to analyze one single set of exam, rather than the design regularities; teachers are inclined to analyze the exam questions instead of interweaving the background knowledge in their teaching; the relevance of the exam and the teaching are rarely discussed, and the concrete examples are seldom demonstrated; lacking detailed investigation) the research are largely based on theory. So this essay will make efforts to demonstrate the great impact on teaching caused by the design changes of the college entrance exams.This essay will be written on the theoretic bases as following:education evaluation theory, quality-orientation education theory and effective education theory. It will introduce the background of the college entrance chemistry exam in China especially the developing stages. And this essay will make analysis on the subject of chemistry of the new curriculum type college entrance exams in Hubei province in four aspects:the goal of college entrance exam, exam design type, knowledge content, and background sampling. After that the essay will give out a conclusion on the transform features of chemistry of new curriculum college entrance chemistry exam design. The features are as following:the developing aims, pluralistic orientation, more distinct course characteristics, visualized information and contemporary value-orientation. And then we will conduct field research on recent situation of highs school chemistry teacher teaching process, exploring the effects on teaching process of chemistry teacher in high school, which was caused by new curriculum type college entrance chemistry exam changes. The effect on the teachers caused by the changes is a double-edged sword. The positive effects are as following:the value of the subject is widely accepted; the hot-points are emphasized; the technology is generally acquired; the communication activities are organized frequently. The research shows many related problems as following:the teachers sometimes fail to perfectly realize the new curriculum education idea, fail to keep up with the type and content changes of college entrance chemistry exam, and are not able to effectively combine the education into daily life; and the education environment fail to fulfill the requirements of teaching informatization; education strategy and reflects fail to work efficiently. And in the following part of the essay, we will put forward four aspects of resolution:implementing the curriculum transform ideas realization and strengthen scientific literacy; enhancing research on exams design and grasp the discipline it follows; strengthen the basic knowledge education and concern about the ability enhancement; optimize the teaching and study method while try to find new teaching strategies.The innovation point of the essay lies with the whole logic chain of the statement. The essay firstly analyze the exam questions to get the transform trends of college entrance chemistry exam, and then conducts filed research according to the trends; after that, we will get the problems in the teaching process and give out specific strategy. The whole logic line of the essay is clear and all the parts be connected reasonably and tightly and that makes the essay logical and propagable.
