The original mathematics aims to teach students to learn mathematics with deep thinking, which ultimate goal is to help students to find questions in the view of mathematics, to analyze problems in mathematical thinking, to solve problems with mathematics thought and to achieve the final goal of mathematical thinking.This paper puts forward the connotation and teaching mode of the original mathematics under the concept of the new curriculum reform, mainly based on the authorsunderstanding and personal teaching practice of mathematics in primary school.The content of original mathematics mainly includes five factors. Mathematical prototype is abstracted from life and experience; mathematics method is to find a suitable mathematical modeling and use it; mathematical rules are presented in algebra and geometry; mathematical essence is to abstract, transfer and reason; mathematical principle is rigorous and logical. Basically, the teaching mode of original mathematics consists of the the following three parts:five methods to handle the new contents, four steps to handle the examples and exercise and a structured map to review the contents.
