| Which item of the two concepts "physical education" and "sport" is much closer to the true meaning of "tiyu" in broad sense? It is really a challenge to interpret the concept of "sport pedagogy". Whether "sport pedagogy" only means the "study of physical education" or pedagogically all-round development of human being as illustrated in the western context not only puzzles many investigators and leads to different interpretations but also causes series of problems in the development of "sport pedagogy"This dissertation reviews the development history of "sport pedagogy" through literature review, logical analysis and comparative methods. Based on the analysis of the research characteristic to "sport pedagogy" in recent years at home and abroad, the dissertation also discusses and summarizes the problems and controversies in the development history of "sport pedagogy". Four parts in total are as follows.Part one intends to introduce the background and the significance of the study, to summarize the relative researches in the field at home and abroad, and clarifies the research objects and methods as well.Part two intends to present the development history of "sport pedagogy", ranging from the background, initial intentions as well as the modern crisis of Germany’s "Sportpadagogik". Then comes the division and respective elaboration on the transition of the concept "Sportpadagogik" in UK, US and other English-Speaking countries. It also distinguishes the internal connections between the concepts of "sports pedagogy" and "sport pedagogy".Part three summarizes the development history of "Sport Pedagogy" mentioned in the dissertation, and puts forward enlightenment obtained:First, implications of "sport pedagogy" have been clarified. Sport pedagogy in China should stick to the basic state policy of socialism with Chinese characteristics and use the experience of other countries for reference comprehensively and thoroughly.In order to achieve this goal, it is vital to interpret the concept of "sport pedagogy" in the way that generally accepted in the international community, which will focus back on to the concept and connotation of sport pedagogy.Second, the concept of "sport education" has been introduced. This study argues that China’s current understanding of "sport pedagogy" is obviously far behind that in western countries. Therefore, it is an effective strategy to draw lessons from experiences in interpreting the concept of "Sport Pedagogy" in western countries, and to introduce the concept of sports pedagogy to deal with the crisis facing us in our country.Third, the relationship between "sport pedagogy" and "athletics pedagogy" has been strengthened, which is beneficial to further enrich the theoretical connotation of athletics pedagogy, conducive to further enhance the overall level of the athletics pedagogy in practice and to applying the athletics pedagogy from empirical concept to transforming it into learning movement.Part four offers some enlightenment for the development and improvement of China’s "sport pedagogy" in future. |
