Research On The Employment Quality Of Vocational College Graduates

Employment is the people’s most important livelihood. Higher education in our country has changed into elite education. The enrollment of university has a large influence on society, it makes millions of students have chances to receive higher education, and it also makes a contribution to the equality of educational opportunity. However, the enrollment of university also makes competition. According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security’s data statistics, there are almost 727 million college graduate in our country in 2014. An increase of 28 million compared to 2013.It is a new record called hardest graduation season. The employment of college graduates has caused great concern in the community. Vocational education has vigorously developed in our country, the development of modern vocational education is the require of deepening reform. As the students of higher vocational education has accounted for half of higher education in China, its employment problem will directly affect the healthy development of higher vocational education, even higher education.On the basis of this reality background, this thesis is based on the quality of higher vocational college graduates employment, analyzing the graduates from H vocational college to investigate the employment of vocational college graduates. Firstly, I reviewed the theories about the quality of employment, and referenced the existing results. Then I did a survey among the graduates in H vocational college through written or electronic questionnaires. The conclusion is the quality of employment showing a steady upward trend, but there is still much room for growth.. Such as uneven level of employment, hard career development process, very few entrepreneurs, less satisfied. Reasons of these problems include government, enterprises, colleges and graduates. The government lacks of corresponding system measures and financial support; the cooperation between enterprises and colleges is not active; colleges lack of employment guidance services and hardware and software are Inadequate, comprehensive of graduates quality need to be improved.Therefore, Improving the quality of graduates’ employment need the joint efforts of all parties. The government should improve the employment system and increase investment; enterprises should change their concepts of employing; colleges should strengthen their characteristics, improve the employment service and increase investment in hardware and software; graduates should do better career plannings, and enhance their employability.
