Speaking of traditional culture, folk art, and many young people feel it and our modern life seemed very long, you as long as the intention to observe and experience, in some places we also find that each and every family have the Spring Festival we stick New Year paintings, children’s kite, and married when the paste paper-cut home and Chinese style furniture etc., everywhere highlight of our nation’s traditional culture and the charm of folk art.But in the modern ideas and technology under the impact of a lot of traditional culture and folk art has been forgotten, leaving many outstanding cultural and heritage is not valued, more no one to succeed.Excellent traditional culture is our precious national wealth, but also our China characteristic, the protection and inheritance of them, in the student to study the high school art appreciation teaching in the process of letting them know about traditional culture and folk art is a good way.Also pointed out that in 2003 the national Ministry of education formulated the "ordinary high school fine arts curriculum standard" test version: "teachers should creatively use the art textbook, create again according to the students, schools and local characteristics of teaching content selection, change and; flexible use of local natural and cultural resources, actively develop school-based curriculum, enhance the art teaching with the local natural and cultural characteristics of the contact." The teacher as a leader in education in the teaching process, to the extent possible, to play their enthusiasm and initiative, to dig out the essence of folk art and cultural resources, application in teaching process, cultivate a high-quality students aesthetic character, inherit and carry forward the excellent national culture of the motherland.Folk art is an important part of traditional culture and art, provides inexhaustible source for other art forms. Henan Wuyang is known as the big ten village Chinese, its rich folk art resources may provide a suitable for the development of school-based curriculum of local, these resources after the teacher organize screening transformation can be applied to the high school art teaching. The scope of this study defined in the Wuyang area, data through interview and questionnaire survey method to collect, and proposed for the first time the Wuyang peasant paintings into the high school art appreciation teaching, and points out the purpose and meaning to do so, it conforms to the requirements of the new curriculum reform, but also embody the quality education and the diversification of education. And then through the form of questionnaire and points out that the teachers and students’ understanding and grasp of the Wuyang peasant paintings, further pointed out that Wuyang farmer painting applied to high school art appreciation is necessary in the course of. Finally, through several cases study attempts to Wuyang peasant painting how to include the high school art appreciation course, hope that through this paper can make readers to understand the Wuyang peasant paintings, to study the art education and the local school-based curriculum has brought some inspiration and help.
