Exercises in class are very important throughout the history teaching process.Only makegood use of the exercises, students can consolidated what they have learned, and their abiliyof thinking can be improved. But for the moment, there isn’t much study about the exercisesin history class, and it doesn’t adapt to the history teaching requirements under the new curri-culum reform. This paper draws on previous outstanding research achievements, and on thisbasis, uses a variety of research methods, such as statistics, literature research, comparativestudy and questionnaire.does some comprehensive research about the effectiveness of the exe-rcises in history class. I hope that this research can help to history teaching and improve theefficiency of history class, achieve teaching objectives.This paper is divided into three parts: intro-duction, body and conclus.Introduction mainly elaborated on the background of this study.And analyze the efficien-cy of exercises in history class at home and abroad.Elaborate the research methods used in th-is study as well as research value.The body part is constituted by three chapters:The first chapter describes the theories about the effectiveness of exercises in history cla-ss, and analyzes the current research status at home and abroad.Specifically, this chapter notonly describes the connotation and theoretical basis of the effectiveness of exercises in hist-ory class, but also classify the type of it.and describes the role of each type.The second chapter collect data on the effectiveness of exercises in history class in the f-orm of a questionnaire survey.And make the statistics of the results.and then sort out the defi-ciencies of exercises in history class.The third chapter is mainly proposed several strategies to improve the effectiveness exer-cises in based on the first two chapters. It mainly starts on form the following aspects: First, tograsp the design principles of exercises in class accurately; second, to seize the best time todo the exercises, and use proper exercise form; Third,to focus on guidance to the exercises;Fourth,to stick out the feedback of the exercises.The conclusion of this paper summarizes the significance and the lack of them in this st-udy, and gives personal views about future research directions.
