Regional geography is the core content of geography curriculum in China. Regionalgeography teaching of compulsory Book Three is based on the required knowedge of naturalgeography in compulsory Book One and the knowledge of human geography in compulsoryBook Two.The regional geography focus on using existing knowledge system and applies it inthe specific area,which has a unique education teaching value. A large number of cases in theregion geography textbooks provide the realistic foundation for role-playing teaching.With deepening reform of basic education course, role playing teaching mode in geographyclassroom teaching is of great significance. Application of role-playing method in high schoolgeography teaching research do good to to changing the traditional teaching pattern ofteaching---passively accept knowledge of high school students. What’s more,this researchalso arouses students’ learning interest and active participating enthusiasm, cultivates thecorrect awareness of students’ social role and the spirit of team cooperation,gives them thecorrect world outlook,and highlights the subjectivity of students.The current research about role-playing teaching has not yet formed a complete theorysystem, for the few studies only stays in the analysis of theory and the existing related papersand monographs in geography class teaching of literature are very little. This articlesystematically combed the role-playing teaching connotation, significance and theimplementation plan etc.and then make a classification and summary to a certain extent tosupple relevant theoryFrom the perspective of practice, this paper analyze strategy, method, problems andsuggestions of regional geography role playing in compulsory book three through the specificcases. Based on the presentation of the geography teachers, this paper further refines theresearch object, summarizes the problems arising from the subject role playing teachingmethod application, and put forward the suitable Suggestions. Then, taking the regionalgeography in compusory book three of Lu version three for example, this paper sums upthe general application solutions, in order to supplet relevant theory, explore the newgeography classroom teaching method which is suitable for middle school students’ physicaland mental characteristics and suits the characteristics of the middle school students learningthe new content of geography teaching. The research methods adopted by this paper are: literature, action research method,classroom observation, case analysis, dialectical analysis method, interview method, etc.In this paper, the research content mainly includes the following five parts:The first part, put forward the object of study in this paper. That is the role playing methodthe high school geography teaching. Besides, present the connotation,characteristics of theteaching method,and the advantages of the application in the classroom. Then explain thetheoty based on the psychology and pedagogy.The second part, analyze the problems existing in the conventional geographyteaching,such as direct infusion of knowledge, teachers thinking instead of students’problem.This paper discusses the the positive role.of the role play method.The third part, summarize the problems in regional geographic role-playing teaching inpractice, and analyze the causes with a detailed evaluation of the selected cases.The fourth part, analyze the features of the teaching cases in the required book three.Itchooses appropriate cases, and sums up the general steps of role-playing teaching. Putforward the strategy from selection, confirmed situation, task allocation, activity organization,summarizes the evaluation aspects in the regional geography of role-playing teaching case.The fifth part, put forward suggestions according to the problems existing in the teachingimprovement to elaborate design case, position accurately. It has various forms of activity,and regular developing group. Also it encourage the importance of the principle of praise, etc.
