Higher education modernization is the inevitable requirement of modernization inour country, is the inevitable choice of China’s modernization. As China’s largest andmost populous Henan province, the development of higher education level in a relativelag of the nation’s position, restricted the development of economy, politics, culture,science and technology of Henan province, hindered the pace of "rise of central plains",affects the realization of the modernization of higher education in our country. Toaccelerate the Henan higher education modernization.In this paper, applying the viewpoints of systems philosophy and the SWOT analysismethod, the system analyzes the present situation of Henan higher educationmodernization, promoting the modernization of higher education in Henan province ofinternal conditions and external environment and the main problems.
