The talent training mode of higher education is the standardization of training objectives and programs, and the guideline for the training process. With the rapid development of sport undertaking in China, especially with the goal of Sport Power set, the demand for Chinese sport management specialists has been increased constantly. It’s also a brand new challenge for the training work in sport higher education institutes. It requires those who are involved in the development of sport public affairs management (sport management) majors to be insightful and perspective, accurately position its mission and train highly qualified, inter-disciplinary sport management talents for our country.This paper was based on the study of training programs of the sport public affairs management (sport management) majors in10sport colleges and universities in China, including Beijing Sport University, Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, Shanghai University of Sport, Shenyang Institute of Physical Education, Chengdu Sport University, Xi’an Physical Education University, etc. Different perspectives such as positioning training objects, the matching degree between measures taken and training objects, the matching degree between training objects, measures and results and social demands were chosen and systematically analyzed. A case study based on the construction of sport public affairs management major in Beijing Sport University was taken with the methodology of comparative analysis. Countermeasures and suggestions are given according to the study in which advantages and shortcomings of the training mode are analyzed.
